  La etnogénesis huarpe moderna en Cuyo se articuló a través de un marco de conversaciones y conflictos entre diferentes grupos sociales, discursos, formas de representación y percepción, instalando "regímenes de visibilidad" que habilitaron en determinadas coyunturas el reconocimiento de sentidos de pertenencia, y devenir, cuerpos o diacríticos culturales huarpes. La interacción entre el campo intelectual regional y los habitantes de las Lagunas de Guanacache entre las décadas de 1920 y 1940, fue un factor clave en este proceso. Analizaremos estas adscripciones o sentidos huarpes sobre y entre los laguneros en pleno siglo XX, para identificar algunos de los mecanismos, argumentos e imaginarios de continuidad, comunidad e identidad biológica, en parte compartidos y en parte disputados, de este peculiar proceso de etnogénesis.

• Abstract

  The Huarpe contemporary ethnogenesis has been shaped through múltiple conversations and conflicts among a great diversity of social agents as well as through múltiple discourses, representations and perceptions which lead to the building of a regime of visibility that contributed to the emergence of indigenous feelings ofbelonging and the construction of Huarpes cultural diacritics. The interaction between local intellectuals and the inhabitants of the Guanacache Lagoons between the 1920s and the 1940s was a critical factor in this process. In this paper, we shall analyze those feelings of beíonging and definitions of the huarpe Self throughout the 20th century and we shall intent to identify some of the mechanisms that allow us to account for the construction of the Huarpe biological identity, community and imaginaries.
